Paul Newman: Remembering The Legend [DVD] DVD
First, screen legend Paul Newman appears in the memorable "Tales of Tomorrow" episode "Ice from Space" (1952), in which the U.S. military grapples with a strange extraterrestrial cargo that piggybacks its way to Earth after a rocket launch. Next, Newman is seen in "Woman in Love" (1952), an installment of the "Suspense" series, which follows a female spy's adventure behind the Iron Curtain. Then, the "Playwrights '56" episode "The Battler" (1955) stars Newman as an ambitious young boxer. Finally, Newman plays New York Mammoths pitcher Henry Wiggen in "Bang the Drum Slowly" (1956), an adaptation of the Mark Harris novel produced for "The United States Steel Hour." 180 min. total.
